Why do I need to include my email address when I try to sell a book?
Currently email is the only form of contact we support. We are currently working on a messaging system that will allow buyers and sellers to communicate through their respective accounts.
I did a search and no books came up, what do I do?
If the search you performed resulted in no listings, make sure the information that you entered is accurate. Also try broadening your search (search by school, not by campus, or leave all fields empty)
Is this service really free? What's the catch?
No catch, this service is 100% FREE, you can buy and sell all the books you want. Tell your friends =)
Do you guys ship the book to me? How does buying work?
No, we do not take property of the books being sold. Each posting has the seller's contact information (email address). Therefore if you are interested in purchasing a book, contact the seller and arrange a meeting. We suggest your campus.
Why did my book not sell?
If your textbook does not sell you may consider lowering your asking price. Also some textbooks change from year to year and therefore your edition may be out of circulation.
Do you guys do quality control? How do I know I'm getting a solid book?
As stated above, we do not take property of books being sold. It is the responsibility of the buyer to inspect the book before purchase!
I can't find my school on the search list, what do I do?
We tried to include all Colleges and Universities from around all of Canada in our selection. If we have omitted your institution, please let us know your Province, and the name of your College/University, and we will gladly add it to our list.
What is an ISBN?
ISBN is the universal abbreviation for International Standard Book Number, a ten digit unique identifier specific to the title, edition and publisher. It is customarily encoded in a bar code printed on the back of the book and normally appears also in the bibliographical details on the reverse of the title-page. It is unique to every book, thus if you search for the ISBN of the book you are looking for, you are guaranteed the search results to be only of that exact book you are looking for.
Here is a picture of where the ISBN is located on top of the barcode of the book. (It is also available on the inside cover, or the first page, beside the copyright notice)
Please make sure NOT to include the word ISBN when inputing the ISBN number for your ad.
